Particular scenes were removed from the movie due to limited time and the producers, directors wanted the movie to be suspencful and they wanted to capture real shark fotage

During pre production they wanted to capture real shark fotage so they went under water to film a real shark attacking the metal cage. The script had to change as they had to use the smaller cage to make the shark look bigger.The shark expert lines were adapted to fit the sharks action.

Cast members were found through socializing. The main actor chief Brody was found through him ears dropping in a conversation about the director wanting to find the perfect chief, then he offered to do the role.

LocationScouting is when the location manager sets out of the studio to find unique or interesting location for certain scene in the film. Producers were sent to take photos of land for where the town should be set. Steven Spielberg chose this specific location because they only had to go out to see the little distance and make it look like it was in the middle of no where.

A composer writes scripts the consideration that were taken when writing the script for jaws were if the scene was possible, timing, or how it would fit into the scene.
